including an abstract and image (where available) of each patent record located.
Assignee Watch
A Patent Assignee Watch provides information regarding all applications filed in a given name and
is reported on a monthly basis or other frequency as required. This is particularly useful to monitor
your known competitors so you can stay aware of their latest developments.
Inventor Watch
An Inventor Watch is useful to ensure you are aware of the key inventors if your field of technology.
Monitoring inventor activity will let you know if an inventor has changes companies or started their
own organisation. Some organisations even establish an Inventor Watch when an inventor leaves their
organisation so that if a patent is filed soon after the inventor leaves - the organisation can make
a determination as to who entitled to the invention.
Patent Application Watch
A Patent Application Watch on an application number (or patent number) will alert you to the status chance
of a patent record. This can be relevant for:
- monitoring for the acceptance of an application in order to ensure it does not proceed to grant
- watching an international patent (PCT) application to see if it enters national phase in a country where you have commercial operations
- checking if a patent that is blocking your freedom to operate lapses - opening up a commercial opportunity for you
- checking your patent attorney has not accidentally let your prized patent lapse by failure to respond to an examination report or paying a renewal fee on time

A watch on subject matter provides information about every published or accepted application that relates
to a technical area. It provides information about emerging technologies in your technical area and new
competitors in the field. The reviewing of these records by your inventors will also stimulate creative
product development within your organisation.
